
Bowen Therapy and Intuitive Bodywork
Erin has a background in Bowen Therapy, Yoga and fascial release techniques. The intuitive bodywork that Erin offers works both on the superficial and deep fascia* as well as the energetic components that restrict the flow of life force energy that flows within our bodies and every aspect of our being.

Bowen Therapy is a technique that works by applied pressure, 'switching' or rolling over specific muscles, ligaments, tendons and soft tissue areas to create a healing response in the body.
This form of bodywork can be used to treat musculoskeletal or related neurological problems including acute sports injuries, chronic pain, fatigue, emotional stress, hormonal imbalance, headaches, organ and respiratory complaints, back pain and so much more.
These techniques are safe for anyone, regardless of age or gender. This is a holistic treatment that addresses the person as a whole. We know that the body is not made up of singular parts that work in isolation, but rather these parts function and move in synergy with one another... in other words: even though you may be experiencing pain in one area of the body, the cause of that symptom may actually be located further afield.

*The fascia, or soft tissue, is the part of the connective tissue that envelops, separates and influences every organ and tissue in the body.

What can I expect?
These sessions are deeply relaxing and nurturing. The sessions will involve movements over muscles, ligaments and tendons of the body, creating release from restrictions within the body.
You can expect gentle touch, hands placed on and off the body as Erin is guided to where she needs to work within the session. You may also feel tingles, hot or cold sensations, energy flowing or moving throughout your body, and a sense of ease and letting go. We encourage you to relax and enjoy however your experience unfolds for you.
Pre and Post Care:​
- Please drink plenty of water before and after your session to hydrate your body to assist the your body to process.
- Allow for a short walk post session to get the body's lymphatic (drainage/detox) system to aid in detoxification of the system, stimulate the circulatory pathways and allow the body to integrate.
- Avoid any heavy lifting, physical exertion or heavy exercise, on the day of therapy; and the day after if possible.
- Do not have any other forms of bodywork for four days prior to, and four days after the therapy.
- Please wear comfortable, loose clothing, for your session
